Session 7: Self Care – It is very important to care for yourself in all ways – spiritually, mentally, relationally and physically – and has a direct impact on your mental wellbeing. It is important to care for yourself, and there are many demands in modern society that can interfere with this. In this session’s video, we hear from Monica who lives with Bipolar 2. We learn that good self-care helps decrease stress, limits mental health challenges and promotes personal wellbeings. 

The Sanctuary Course is an 8-week course that gives participants a chance to broaden their understanding of mental health from a Christian perspective. Sanctuary Mental Health Ministries is a Christian non-profit organization that was founded in 2012 for the purpose of equipping churches in Canada to love and support community members with lived experience of mental health challenges.
