Hello everyone,   Right now I think we need to take a break from regularly scheduled programming. The Black Lives Matter movement is getting well-deserved, well-needed traction around the globe. The murders of George Floyd, Breonna Taylor and Ahmaud Arbery among many others call for action. Here are some resources and actions that I have collected over the past couple of weeks. As a white person in this time, I don’t think I should be taking up space with my own thoughts and opinions. My life has been privileged in such a way where I’ve always felt like my voice has mattered. Now is the time to lift up voices that have been actively oppressed. In no way is this list exhaustive, and in no way are these things an absolute solution to what’s happening. My thought with this is that it could be a jumping off point for the work each one of us needs to do in tackling internal and external racism. It’s with humility and respect that I offer this list to you. A big thank you to everyone online who has compiled the resources in this list.

The complete list can be downloaded in the pdf file below.

Thanks for reading! If you have anything you think should be added to the list, feedback or thoughts on the resources listed here please let me know. Victoria

Hi folks! Victoria here!

I wanted to give you an update on the youth group during the time of Covid-19. We've been trying to find ways to connect while maintaining physical distancing. This past Monday we had a virtual games night on the app Houseparty. We played a bunch of charade-like games and had ten youth join! There were some technical issues with the app so I'm doing some research into the best way to play games together online. For Sundays I've been sending out a video and questions for the families to work on together if they so choose. These videos are generally from YouTube or the church's RightNow Media account and focus on topics like prayer, hope and resilience. Another type of interaction has been on Instagram. A few times a week I've been posting a #stpaulsquarantinechallenge for the youth. These challenges include: make a craft, write a letter, cook a new dish, do something nice for your mom etc. I hope to keep connecting with the youth and miss everyone at church!
