We are working on the calendar of events for St Paul’s this coming year, and there have been many good ideas offered for different types of events. You probably already have an idea of something you would like to attend here, or something you would like to host. Some events we’ve run in previous years include the Gingerbread Night, Pancake Dinner for Shrove Tuesday, and games nights. Other possibilities in the coming year include book studies, special topics for discussion before or after Sunday service, or a sing-along one evening. We are looking for people to organize and oversee these (and/or new) events in the year ahead. 

With so many possibilities, we’ve created an “Event One-Pager” for event leaders to fill in and consider all the details of their event. This page helps create an outline of critical details needed to run an event. You won’t be alone in this work! Michelle Schurek is our Community Outreach Facilitator, and part of her work is supporting parishioners in their efforts to have events. Over the coming weeks, we’ll be communicating more about this initiative. Any questions are welcome, especially as we’re trying something new and it may need some clarification.
