Emmanuel Foundation Update: As you may remember, Emmanuel Foundation’s warehouse burned out a year ago. This warehouse was full of supplies that the foundation collected to fill “Containers of Hope” (shipping containers) to be sent to countries in need of equipment and supplies. Although this program was limited by a lack of warehouse space and inventory loss due to the fire, they have still been able to ship four full 40’ containers to Ghana, Burundi, Cameroon and the Democratic Republic of Congo. They have been very encouraged as equipment and supplies continue to pour in, replacing what was lost. They also received a new distribution centre through Hope Mission. The West End Seniors Centre is hosting a special event on Monday, November 7 in recognition of National Seniors Safety Week. They have several guest speakers lined up to talk about topics such as fraud awareness, fall preventions, AED machine demos, and more.
