The Miracle of Many Languages: Join our Pentecost Service!
On the very first Pentecost, a remarkable thing happened: people from all over the world gathered
together, and though they spoke different languages, the Holy Spirit allowed them to hear the
Gospel in their own native tongues. It was the moment the Church became truly global!
To celebrate this "birthday of the Church" on Sunday, May 24, we want our service to reflect the
many cultures and languages that make up St. Paul’s today.
We are looking for parishioners to share the gift of their "mother tongue" (native language) during
the service. What would I have to do? Don't worry—you don't need to be a public speaker! It could
be as simple as:
Reading a single verse of Scripture.
Offering a short prayer.
Saying "Peace be with you" in your native language.
How to sign up: If you speak a language other than English and are willing to help us create a
"symphony of voices" please let us know by May 17:
In Person: Speak with Rev. Wally or Rev. Eric after any service.
By Email: Contact the church office at office@stpauls-anglican.ca.
