It’s common to hear about athletes taking a rest-day from their workout regimen to allow the body to repair itself and become stronger. In our current world, the idea of a day of rest has been stripped of its value. However, it can be very beneficial to protect an entire day, or even a few hours, from the week to offer your spirit, body, heart, and mind the peace and quiet they need to rest and recuperate. In the week ahead, reflect on our invitation to take a Sabbath each week, and on how you might be able to do that in your own life.
