Community Corner Highlights

Are you a history buff? Edmonton has a vibrant history! For 29 years, the Edmonton and District Historical Society (EDHS) has proudly presented the annual Historic Festival & Doors Open Edmonton. This year, from July 6-16, they're exploring “The Evolution of Connectivity” and long distance phone service. The innovation stimulated Alberta’s integration into broader Canadian and global networks, setting the stage for modern telecommunications and its role in shaping the province’s identity. There have been many events and activities throughout the city this month! This is a topic worth considering and learning more about, as well as learning to talk more openly with one another about it. As one example (of many!), Phillip Yancey has shared his perspective in a Q&A article on his website that expresses his way of engaging Pride and the community it serves. https://philipyancey.com/q-and-a-topics/homosexuality/
