Canada Day is next Tuesday, July 1! Whether you are looking to enjoy fireworks, parks or one of our great amenities, there are plenty of options for making it a special day. Please visit the City website at https://www.edmonton.ca/attractions_events/schedule_festivals_events/canada-day for many ideas on how to celebrate Canada Day this year. Ch Cafeteria on 148 St and Stony Plain Road is a wonderful spot for coffee and treats! Construction along Stony Plain Road is literally at the CH door and they are feeling the effects on their business. The couple that runs CH are great people and many members of our congregation have gone there for some meetings and coffee time with others. The City is telling them that it will be at least two months until construction has moved on (possibly up to 4 months). Please support them with your patronage!

June is National Pride Month. There are many different ways to observe this month, as Grant Hartley writes: “There is pride that is the opposite of humility – vanity or self-idolatry – and that is great vice. But then this is ‘pride’ that is the opposite of shame – magnanimity, or greatness of soul – and that is virtue. Please remember this when you discuss pride month” (see article HERE). If you have a book, article, website or event to recommend, please email Michelle Schurek to share it with the parish.
