 On April 1, 2022, Pope Francis publicly offered an apology to Canadian Indigenous people for the actions of members of the Catholic Church and their role in Canada’s residential schools. The next step in this apology is coming at the end of July, as Pope Francis will be visiting various Indigenous communities in Canada. Please pray in anticipation of the pope’s visit for purposes of reconciliation and healing.
