St Paul's Vision

As followers of Jesus our vision is to Love God with all our hearts, and to love our neighbours as ourselves. Matthew 22:37-40.

The Vision is summarized as:

Connecting People with God and each other.

St Paul's Mission

WORSHIP: We connect with God through worship.

COMMUNITY: We connect by sharing our lives through God’s love.

SERVICE: We connect people with God through service to others.

Six Scriptures highlight some of the important aspects of our Values, Vision and Mission.

Matthew 22:37-40:  Jesus replied: "Love the Lord your God with all your heart and with all your soul and with all your mind.  This is the first and greatest commandment.  And the second is like it:  'Love your neighbour as yourself.  All the Law and the Prophets hang on these two commandments.' "

Matthew 28:18-20: Then Jesus came to them and said, All authority in heaven and on earth has been given to me.  Therefore, go and make disciples of all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit, teaching them to obey everything I have commanded you.  And surely I am with you always, to the very end of the age.

Ephesians 4:11-16: It was he who gave some to be apostles, some to be prophets, some to be evangelists, and some to be pastors and teachers, to prepare God’s people for works of service, so that the body of Christ may be built up until we all reach unity in the faith and in the knowledge of the Son of God and become mature, attaining to the whole measure of the fullness of Christ. Then we will no longer be infants, tossed back and forth by the waves, and blown here and there by every wind of teaching and by the cunning and craftiness of men in their deceitful scheming. Instead, speaking the truth in love, we will in all things grow up into him who is the Head, that is, Christ. From him the whole body, joined and held together by every supporting ligament, grows and builds itself up in love, as each part does its work.

Colossians 1:28-29: We proclaim him, admonishing and teaching everyone with all wisdom, so that we may present everyone perfect in Christ. To this end I labour, struggling with all his energy which so powerfully works in me.

2 Timothy 2:2: And the things you had heard me say in the presence of many witnesses entrust to reliable men who will also be qualified to teach others.

1 Corinthians 1:23-24: But we preach Christ crucified: a stumbling block to Jews and foolishness to Gentiles, but to those whom God has called, both Jews and Greeks, Christ the power of God and the wisdom of God.
