Rector (Senior Pastor) Retiring September 2018
The Reverend P. Michael Williamson
Michael will be in his role as the current Rector or Senior Minister / Pastor of our church until September 30, 2018 when he retires and moves on with many new exciting en-devours. Micheal has served St.Paul's Anglican Church for over 28 years!
His formal education includes a Masters of Divinity (M.Div.) and a general BA, before which he spent 7 years working in industry at various jobs while still living in the UK. He has called Canada home since 1982.
In his role as Rector Michael loves to see people find their spiritual gifts and put them into practice. His greatest desire is to hear from God and implement His agenda. Michael spends much of his time leading, coordinating and encouraging leaders in the various ministries that he has responsibility to oversee. Encouraging the church in the work of Jesus, whether it is local, national or international mission gives him great satisfaction. He has a heart to mentor young clergy and see the leaders of the church encouraged to further the Kingdom of God. In this capacity Michael is a Regional Dean in the Diocese.
Michael is married to Janet and together they have one son. The family enjoys hiking in the mountains at anytime of the year as that brings spiritual and physical renewal. He enjoys sailing, hiking, snowboarding (which he started at 45 years old) walking, photography and reading.
His God given desire is to entrust ministry to others who will exercise that ministry faithfully while being guided by the Holy Spirit.
