A Time of Prayer and Reflection

Come to a time of prayer and reflection to help us process the difficult events of the past months   Have you experienced any hurt, anger, sense of betrayal or abandonment, condemnation, disappointment or grief in relation to the events of the past few months?  Are there things that have been said and done by others that continue to weigh on you?  Have you said or done things you regret?  These experiences are just a few examples of the kinds of things that have impacted many of us in the wake of last Fall’s Synod and the resulting division at St. Paul’s.  We have felt these impact both personally, and as a community.  They are exactly the kinds of things our Lord Jesus would desire…

Arrival at the Winspear, Parking and Buses – The Good and the Not-so-Good News:   First the good news: The large function that was supposed to happen in Churchill Square on the weekend of May 18th-19th is not happening, so we do not need to worry about parking problems.   And now the not so good news: We have learned that Edmonton Transit System is closing three LRT stations (Churchill, Stadium and Coliseum) for the whole of the May long weekend, in order to do platform work and electrical work. They will have shuttle buses operating between Corona Station and Clareview Station, stopping at all LRT stations, so it is still possible to get to Churchill Station, which is the station at the…

St. Paul's BBQ Picnic

Join us for the St. Paul's BBQ Picnic on Sunday, June 2nd, 2012, 10:30 am at Grovenor Park, 14325 104th Avenue. St. Paul's regular Sunday service at the church will be moved to the Grovenor Park at 11:00 am. This will be followed by face painting, fun games for the kids and the youth and a puppet show.   Invite a friend, neighbor and bring your family along! This will be a fun and enjoyable time with the family, friends and the community. We invite everyone coming to bring your lawn chairs, picnic blankets, lawn/outdoor games like croquet and bocce ball. St. Paul's Community Camping Trip

Attention all Campers!   All ages are welcome to join us for a St Paul's community camping trip.  We have reserved the group campground at Long Island Lake Municipal Campground near Westlock, AB for Friday, July 19- Sunday, July 21.  Group activities planned for Saturday afternoon and evening with a Saturday night potluck supper.  (All other meals, please plan food for your family.)   If you like to camp, you'll want to hold your spot!  Sign-up sheet available on the flip chart near the office.  A $40 deposit is required by May 30 to secure your spot.  Please pay at the church office.  Final cost will be dependant on the number of interested campers.   Please see Peggy Ward, Lauren…

Kid's Night Out

Hey parents! Are you in need of some free time? A time to yourself, go out, shop or chillax?   We are offering free babysitting on June 7th from 5:00 pm to 8:00 pm. Just call the office on or before June 5th if you would like to drop off your kids at the church.   We welcome people who would like volunteer to baby sit! Call us at 780-455-0771 or talk to Amy!
